Eligo

Terms of use

Version 1.1 · last updated 2 November 2026

1. Purpose

These terms govern your use of the Eligo app, published by William Lainez Jackow, Rue des Glacis 21, 1207 Geneva, Switzerland (“we”). By using Eligo you accept them. If you don’t, please don’t use Eligo.

2. What Eligo does

Eligo helps you sort similar photos and videos in your Apple Photos library. The analysis runs only on your iPhone: no photo or video is ever sent to our servers. Eligo deletes nothing without your explicit approval, photo by photo or group by group.

3. Your profile (optional)

You can use Eligo without a profile. If you create one, it contains your first name and email address; you agree to provide accurate information. Without a profile, nothing is stored on our servers. You can delete your profile at any time in the app or by writing to contact@eligoapp.ch.

4. Deletions

Items you choose to delete are moved by iOS to the “Recently Deleted” album, where they can be recovered for 30 days. After that, Apple erases them for good. Check your choices before confirming: you alone are responsible for the deletions you decide.

5. Free trial and Eligo Premium

Eligo is free for your first 30 duels. Eligo Premium then unlocks unlimited duels for a one-time purchase, with no subscription and no need to create a profile. The price is shown in your currency, VAT included, before you buy. Payment is handled by Apple through the App Store under its own terms. Your purchase is personal: it is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on your other devices, but it cannot be shared through Family Sharing. Refund requests go through Apple.

6. Permitted use

Eligo is for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to copy, modify, decompile or resell the app, or to use it in a way that could harm how it works.

7. Liability

We do our best to keep Eligo working well, but the app is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the loss of photos or videos you chose to delete, or for interruptions caused by iOS, iCloud or your device. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

8. Ownership

Eligo, its name, logo and code belong to its publisher. Your photos and videos remain yours: we never have access to them.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will let you know in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Eligo afterwards means you accept it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. Any dispute falls under the courts of Geneva, subject to the mandatory rules that protect you in your country of residence.

11. Language

These terms exist in French and English. In case of any difference, the French version prevails.
